To keep the integrity of the site, I have kept this page intact, but please note that we are not taking any more orders for action figures or posters for the forseeable future.

How much does it cost?

  • A single figure is $700. That includes taxes, shipping and handling.
  • A set of two figures is $1200, provided the packaging is identical. A savings of nearly $200! (Packaged together, it makes the perfect wedding gift!)
  • We accept Paypal, but there is an additional service charge of $25 if you do.

How about the posters I've heard so much about?

If you are interested in having your own Personalized Independent Movie Poster for yourself or as a gift for someone else, please email us at orders@highlyflammabletoys.com and we will send you our questionnaire. Each poster is 12" x 8.5" and is printed on high quality photographic paper which is then treated to prevent fading or bleeding. Each poster comes mounted in a glass frame and is accompanied by a photo CD containing a high resolution version of the poster for printing and a low resolution image to email. Each poster is $125 plus $25 shipping and handling.

Can I get a poster that's really "poster size"??

Yes. We can blow up our poster to 24" x 36". All text and graphics will look fairly sharp, but the photo resolution depends entirely on the quality and size of the photos we are initially given by the client. Large posters are shipped in a mailing tube without a frame. A poster that is 24" x 36" is $250. If you want the large poster, plus a framed copy of the smaller version and a CD with a high resolution version of the poster that entire package is $300.

What exactly do I get for my hard-earned money?

When you place an order with Highly Flammable Toys you will get a one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted 6" action figure with a found-altered head or an original sculpted head and clothing of whoever you'd like, 3 customized accessories of your choosing, a one-of-a-kind, double sided, full color backing card and a see-thru, plastic cover holding it all together. The pet action figures do not come with accessories, but they can be added for an additional fee.

What's an accessory?

An accessory is any item that is not attached to the figure. A camera, a book, a pet, a pizza are all accessories. Items such as hats and glasses and necklaces are not considered accessories as they are usually on the figure. However, if you want to include a hat, for example, but the figure is not wearing it, then the hat counts towards one of your three accessories.

Can the figure be holding something in its hand?

Due to the contraints of the plastic packaging, there is very little room. All accessories are placed around the figure.

How do I Order?

To start the ordering process, email us at orders@highlyflammabletoys.com. Tell us a little about the figure (or figures) you'd like to have made and when you'd like them by. Once we receive your order, we will send you an email questionnaire for the proposed figure. Fill out the questionnaire with as much information as you want and send it back. We will occasionally contact you with any questions our artists have or images we may need. Halfway through the process, we will send you pictures so you can have the final say.

How much information do I have to provide?

You can give as much or as little as you want to, but the more you give us to work with, the more personalized your figure will be. We need general info like name, hair color, eye color, height, occupation to start work on the figure. Favorite hobbies, books, music, color will help us with the accessories. Then whatever info you'd like to include on the box like an anecdote or action figure blurb, as well as "other figures in the series". Our action figure specialists with work with you to ensure that your figure looks as professional as possible. And of course, all information will remain strictly confidential. But again, you will provide this info answering our questionnaire. You do not have to provide this in your initial conact email.

Should I tell you all about the figure I want made in my first email?

No. Contact us to let us know you are interested and then we will email you our questionnaire. Please don't send us information up front as it tends to get confusing on our end.

What about images?

All personal images need to be provided by you. Digital photos are best, but you can send us photos through the mail and we will scan them here. All photos will be mailed back intact with the completed figure. As for what kind of photos, we need shots of the persons face from a few angles for our sculptors to work from. We will need photos of whatever outfit you want to see them in. If you have any specific accessories you want included, photos of those will be necessary. On top of that, if there are any other people you want "included in the series", we'll need head shots.

What if this gift is a surprise?

Oooh! Our favorite! You get to play detective and take some sneaky pictures, or this gives you a chance to rummage through the photo albums!

What is the turnaround time?

Generally, you'll receive your figure within 3-4 weeks of sending us the figure questionnaire.

Why make your figures 6"? Why not make them 12", like all of the other custom figure sites?

For us at HFT, 6" is an action figure. 12" is a doll. The 6" figures are more like the toys that we loved and played with in our youth. We like the challenge of working with plastics and paint and think cloth clothes and costumes usually look crappy. Additionally, the packaging for a 6" is much more interesting and action figure-like than a 12" rectangular box.

Can I play with it?

We wouldn't recommend it. HFT's are designed as works of art, to be displayed, not played with.

Do you make customized comic book figures?

No. There are plenty of other sites that offer those services.

Are your toys really highly flammable?

Well, as flammable as anything made out of plastics, epoxies, paints and paper...
